Info:You find Aubrey and Émile in the process of setting up a complicated boardgame. A mythology-themed city builder, apparently? The picture on the box shows a green-haired dwarf shaking hands with a pink bird.|Ask where they got the game=2^Sit down to play=3
Aubrey:So, your glider was chock full of cargo, right? You didn't notice? Well, it was.##Émile was poking through the cargo hold, and one of the boxes said 'DAY 1 SUPPLIES.' So, they cracked it open.##The boardgame was in there, along with food and a change of clothes for everyone. So clearly, playing it is part of the job, probably. Plus, Aubrey wanted to see the little figurines.|Continue=1
Émile:You grab a sandwich and skim the rules on your visor, while Émile and Aubrey are busy shuffling cards. There's also a bag of colourful stones, some well-made miniature creatures, and a big playmat. None of you are familiar with this game, but it turns out that this is a >cooperative experience.~ So you can figure it out together!
Info:Before you know it, you're building homes and workplaces for a variety of fantasy creatures.|Ask Aubrey and Émile about their respective lives=5^Find a solution for the kobold housing crisis=6
Aubrey:Aubrey chuckles a little. Could you ask a more vague and open-ended question, please? But then she explains that she's a sculptor, and a bit of a workaholic. She tends to lose herself completely in her work. That's why she's here - because her friends decided that she needed to go do, quote, 'literally anything else.'##As for Émile, he's a bit of a nomad. Originally from a >non-integrated settlement~ further inland. He left about a decade ago, and has been moving from place to place since then, enjoying his new freedom.|Cool=4
Info:So, kobolds don't need much space. But that doesn't mean they should be living twelve each in two-room basement apartments.##The three of you decide convert the old rock quarry into an underground housing complex, for all the sun-averse but pro-social species. You build out the road to town as well. It costs you a lot of resource cards, but in the end, everyone's happy. And you get to draw from the BONUS DECK too!|Hooray!=7
Émile:The game continues along those lines. You reserve plenty of roaming space for the centaurs, and set up a very profitable route exporting faerie dust from the enchanted glades out west. It's fun, though your strategy is pretty improvised. Apparently, there would also be municipal elections, though the manual cautions that beginners should skip that part.|Check your score=8^Time for bed=9
You:Your visor has an application just for this game. Very handy! It calculates for a moment, then tells you that your total score is >Prince.~ Some digging through the menus confirms that this is perfectly reasonable for first-time players.|Ok cool=7
Info:Well, that was fun! You're pretty exhausted, though. You help Aubrey and Émile put everything back in the box, then turn in for the night. You're asleep before you hit the pillow.|Zzzz=999
